LEBANON, Ind. – Lebanon Fire Department rescued one person after their car crashed into a pond in Lebanon.

According to the City of Lebanon Fire Department, crews were dispatched at 1:40 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a vehicle entering a pond on Countryside Drive. Upon arrival on scene, responders located a vehicle in a retention pond with the driver still inside.


The personnel entered the water and accessed the vehicle through the trunk of the car. The driver was trapped in the car, but crews untied the person and got him out as the car began to fill with water. There were no other passengers in the vehicle.

Boone County EMS took the driver for patient care and further evaluation.

No injuries have been reported. The car was towed away by a towing company from the region.
