The story of the blues travels from the coasts of Africa, through the cotton fields of the Mississippi Delta, across the hills of Appalachia, to the streets of Chicago and beyond. The roots of blues can be found in slave songs, spirituals, and field hollers of the American South; its sound can be heard in early rock-and-roll, and in today's alternative and hip hop landscapes. 2020 Scribble Spot
1, Listen to the story A Little Scribble Spot by Diane Alber
2. Think about, if you drew your feelings today, what colours would you use? Talk about how you are feeling with someone you care about. Parents be sure to do this too.
3. Music can make us feel better when we are social distancing. Work like the artist Kandinsky and draw or paint pictures of your favorite songs and post them in the comments. A great video about Kandinsky is posted here too. Be sure to include the title of the song so we can all look up that song. Remember you are NOT drawing pictures of the artist or what the song is about- but how the song makes you feel. Choose songs that make you feel GREAT. (please read the lyrics first before sharing)
Post your favorite songs in the comments and I will select songs to create active drumming videos for you to play along to. Dancing and drumming is another way to experience the joy that music can bring to us when we are social distancing.

2020 ABC Disney Live Concert
•On Thursday, April 15th ABC Disney aired the Disney Family Singalong special and performers will sing Disney classics from their own homes. The line-up ranges from divas like Christina Aguilera to the entire cast (including Zac Efron) of High School Musical reuniting for one more rendition of "We're All in This Together."
